Three ways that you can support The Book Bus in 2022
As the new year rolls round, The Book Bus team are working as hard as ever to transform lives through reading in Zambia.
Below are three ways that you can help provide learning opportunities to children on our reading schemes in Zambia, from sharing unique Book Bus cards, to shopping online and donating items from The Book Bus’ virtual store.
1. Gift-a-Book when you send a unique card to your friends and family
The Gift-a-Book scheme allows you to share beautifully designed cards with your loved ones. What’s more, your card will help provide quality reading materials for children in Zambia! There are four designs to choose from, each created exclusively for The Book Bus by Sir Quentin Blake.
Each card costs £10 and will be sent to you via the Royal Mail. Proceeds from your donation will raise money for children on our reading projects in Zambia, helping to spread the joy of reading in 2022. There’s also space to add your own message, sharing a smile with a friend and providing quality books to aspiring learners in Zambia!

2. Donate as you shop (all at no extra cost to you!)
In 2022, use AmazonSmile for your online shopping and Amazon will donate 0.5% of eligible purchases to The Book Bus! That means more reading materials and learning opportunities for children in Zambia, all at no extra cost to you!

3. Give the gift of reading with a one-off or regular donation
Maybe you’re not looking to shop or send a card, but want to make a meaningful difference. Then head to our our Virtual Store, where you can choose from a range of items to donate to The Book Bus!
You can pick anything from an individual book and training for teachers in Zambia, to fuel and new tires for our Book Buses. Perhaps you even have a favourite Book Bus?
